Peugeot VLV, 1942
Wikimedia Commons
One of a small number of civilian electric car designs to see series production during the Second World War, Peugeot’s VLV (Voiture Légère de Ville, or Light City Car) was a truly unusual vehicle. It had a top speed of only 36 km/h, and a maximum of 80 kilometers of range, and ran off a semi-tricycle platform, with two wheels placed side-by-side under the trunk.
This vehicle is on display at the Musée de l’aventure Peugeot. (External link)
