William Still in SMC Phaeton, 1900

William Still demonstrates one of his electric phaetons. In an interview he conducted with the British Motor Car Journal in June 1900, Still described the major concerns of his car company’s customers in terms that still ring true today. “How will the vehicle go up gradients, can it get out of mud holes, what will it cost, and how far will it go?”
