Capturing a Community – Tyler Knight
Known for its artisans, ability to maintain a small-town mentality and charm, while offering the amenities and opportunities of a big city, Orillia is the perfect place for Tyler Knight to thrive as a photographer, videographer and entrepreneur.
Owner of KnightVision Media, a video production and photography company, Tyler has been able to take his talents internationally while remaining based at home in Orillia. He and his team do it all, from storyboarding to post production, and their work ranges from showcasing corporations, commercials, documentaries, and weddings.
Tyler’s taken his passion and talent and turned it into a successful business and has also found ways to give back to his community.

Photography and video production are not all that Tyler is passionate about though. He and his partner Allie share a passion for sustainability and the need to eliminate single-use plastics. This is why in 2017 they opened the Refillery District: a zero-waste market that promotes locally-sourced foods, and environmentally friendly practices – one of only four stores like it in Canada at the time of its opening.

The Refillery District has fulfilled the needs of many Orillians as concerns for our environment and the push to end single-use plastics have started to rise. Tyler hopes to do his part in reducing plastic use, and so far he and Allie have had outstanding success.
