Michelle explains that there are many others who helped make the railways a better workplace.
Michelle Ardron: “While there is some interest in the fact that I was the first woman at CP in Toronto, there are a lot of women I think went before me in other railways and even maybe short lines that I’m not aware of. There’s been a lot of a lot of other people and men too, you know, that maybe were ostracized for whatever reason. I think there’s a lot of people that. You know, made some inroads where, you know, they needed to be made and made changes, where it needed to be made, and there’s a lot of men that were also very vocal in a lot of these changes too and making them happen. So, you know, I’m thankful for that. And I think they played also a big role in the history, as it is.”
