Flooded GO Train, 2013

Date: July 2013
Stuart was working an afternoon shift at the Scott Street Tower on July 9, 2013. On that date, severe rain caused flooding over tracks on the way from Union Station to Richmond Hill, Ontario. Stuart does not know why the crew proceeded in the severe weather, but he received a report that a snake had come onto the flooded train. After the 2006 movie of a similar name, this incident was dubbed “Snakes on a Train”. Passengers waited hours to be rescued by boat by Toronto Police Services.
