Landscape vintage photograph shows approximately 50 men posing in front of and in a large steam locomotive. The number “3002” is visible on the locomotive and “Canadian Pacific” on the tender. Illegible script is visible in the bottom of the photograph.

This is the mechanical staff of the John Street Roundhouse in 1937, posed in front of Canadian Pacific steam engine 3002. The Toronto Railway Museum is housed in stalls 15-17 of the John Street Roundhouse. The photo of the 66 workers was a contact print taken from a glass negative, and the workers’ names have been included along the bottom edge.
