The Buffalo  CL-415 were on loan from Quebec and in demand. There were 600 fires burning in the Province of BC.

The aircraft held an impressive 5,500 litres of water in its internal tanks. Ground crews fighting the fire were always pulled out of harm’s way when the pilot of the Buffalo was about to drop a load of suppressant.
