Day 1: Wed. July 29
Just after 15:00 a lightning strike hit the Fly Hills and started a blaze.
“If you were going to set a fire, on purpose, in that valley, and you wanted to do the most damage and cause the biggest fire, you would set it right where the lightning hit,” said a Salmon Arm Fire Warden.
