Honour Guard with former mayors MacEwan, Klein

The Fire Department has a rich history in Calgary. As part of the Department’s centenary celebrations in 1985, the book ‘100 Years of Smoke, Sweat, and Tears’ was released. Here, the Guard poses with Grant MacEwan, who helped with the book, and Mayor Ralph Klein outside City Hall, to celebrate the completion of the project. MacEwan asked for only a jar of peanut butter as payment for his contributions!
