Honour Guard members bearing the flags at a Calgary Flames ice hockey game

The Honour Guard makes a great effort to be visible in the community, spreading its message and representing the department. Local sports teams benefit from these attempts, recruiting the Guard to appear at anthem ceremonies throughout the year. Recently, members have attended Calgary Roughnecks lacrosse games, and Calgary Flames games. This gives Guard members a chance to show off their skills in front of a huge audience, as well as get their faces on TV!
