David Allan funeral

David Allan died in a tragic accident, thrown from the back of a fire truck in a high speed collision on August 25, 1976. Two colleagues survived, but Allan passed away soon after the crash. His funeral was held at Union Cemetery on 30th August 1976. The Honour Guard led hundreds of mourners in paying their respects.

Uniformed firefighters lined the exit from the church prior to the procession. Allan was a beloved member of the department, and after 21 years of service his passing left a lasting mark.
