Fallen Firefighter Memorial 2015

The annual memorial to the Fallen Nine firefighters takes place in September. Members from across the Department come together to mourn and celebrate the life of their fallen comrades. This is also an important event for the families of firefighters, as it shows the love and respect which is held for their family member. The Honour Guard has an important role in the ceremony, as they lead the memorial and ring the bell. The Guard marches at the front of the procession to City Hall, and takes their place at the head of the assembly to represent the whole Department.
