Founding Members

The Honour Guard was formed in 1971, under the influence of Brian Freney and Dennis McIvor. Both hoped to create a Guard which would represent the department in the best possible manner, in line with their military background. Thanks to their hard work, the Honour Guard continues today, and the pair were rewarded with memorial plaques in May 2015.
