IAFF Fallen Firefighters Memorial

Each year, the firefighter community gathers in Colorado Springs to pay their respects to their fallen colleagues, and support their families. The event represents a time when they can commemorate the sacrifices of firefighters across the world.

The Memorial grounds feature a number of commemorative pieces. The Memorial Roll holds the names of all IAFF firefighters to have lost their lives in the line of duty, or from presumptive diseases, over the years. The statue featured here, donated by the Chicago Fire Department, highlights the commonalities of firefighting and the unity of the profession- the shared uniform that all colleagues wear.
