Nine Red Stars- Tobias Breuer’s patches

The Honour Guard uniform has changed gradually over the years. The current design is black in colour, with a red stripe on the trouser, a white belt and cap, and a red lanyard. The most poignant addition is the nine red stars on the right cuff. The stars honour the nine firefighters who gave their life in the line of duty in Calgary.

The white patch here represents the home department of Tobias Breuer. Originally from Switzerland, Tobias represented his home volunteer department at many functions before moving to Calgary.
