CFD Honour Guard, Recruitment001
Applying to join the Honour Guard is a long and competitive process. First, a written application needs to be submitted, giving reasons why a potential recruit wants to join, and their skillset. After that, a face to face interview takes place to discuss their motivations in more detail. Finally, the keen recruits are put through their paces during a drill session, testing their ability follow commands and fall in to line.
At the beginning, drill training or military service was a prerequisite for joining the Guard. Now it is more important to have the right character, and the desire to serve the fallen with respect and professionalism.
