Blackout: the power grid in disarray

During the first part of the week, if I remember correctly, a lot of customers lost power because of problems with the distribution system. During the second half of the week, we lost a lot of customers again, this time because of transmission system problems; I think this was when the maximum of 1.4 million customers without power was reached. Finally, the transmission towers crumpled. That’s the image that people remember most.
