I was lying in bed in our bedroom, which has a big window. We went to bed with no worries. At one point, we heard… It had been raining for maybe a night already. It was raining and then it slowly changed to freezing rain. We saw the freezing rain gradually collect on things. It collected on the branches. Then, later that night, it must have been around 11 pm or midnight, we heard BZZZZZZT sounds. We were lying in bed and we heard BZZZZZT, and, then, all of a sudden, BZZZZZT POOFF. A green flash, and then PFFFFEW. Both of us sat bolt upright in bed; both of us were bright green. “You’re all green!” “You are, too!” We laughed. Then, all of a sudden, we heard FOOP. The electricity went out. Everything went out. Then, the next second, all the alarms went off, the one for the alarm system, BEEP BEEP BEEP, the one for the cordless phones, MEEN MEEN MEEN.
