The National Housing Act – Under Part 1, Section 4, Subsections 6, 7, 8 of the NHA, joint loans for co-operatives may be made. Two types of housing co-operatives : those that build, own and manage a group of properties; and those that build the homes co-operatively, but when the houses are complete, ownership is transferred to the individual members of the co-operative.
