Dominic and Rita Marrocco

Dominic was the brother of Francis Marrocco. Rita had worked with the Father Marrocco (later Bishop) in Ottawa at St. Patrick’s College, and there she met her husband, Dominic. Rita would later publish a biography of Bishop Marrocco, titled, The Light from One Candle.
Rita was also interviewed for and attended the 60th Anniversary Sweat Equity exhibit, when she was 92 years of age. She was pleased to know the story would be told in the Digital Museums Canada Community Stories website. Sadly, she passed away in 2020.

Father Francis Marrocco, later Bishop, was an inspirational teacher in his church, classroom and community.
