O’Brien and Sherlock had been introduced to co-operative methods a few years earlier, as students at St. Augustine’s Seminary, when Father Marrocco had come to lecture. After the two were ordained, Marrocco felt sure they could help the people of Hamilton with housing. Once O’Brien and Sherlock launched their own homebuilding initiative, Marrocco provided them with copies of his ISA students’ study guide, hot off the press, for the Hamilton study groups.
