Parent Tribute Poster

The photos of the parents included in the poster were taken around the time of the build, with some as young as 20 and others just after their weddings. Already they were looking to build a home for their families. For the co-op children, viewing the poster, was a reminder of the commitment their parents had made at such a young age. Next to the poster was a digital slide show, introducing each couple by name. Unfortunately, not all couples are represented in the poster, although enough to be a tribute to all 81 families in the 3 homebuilding co-operatives, Lakedale, Sherbrien and Cathedral Heights.

Three generations of the Komadoski family enjoy the “Parent Tribute Poster” which greeted visitors at the beginning of the exhibit. Pointing out her grandmother’s photo in the collage is grandaughter Emily, daughter Vicki and seated is grandmother Helen.
