Roy O’Grady recalls the builders having a party after completing each house. On one occasion, the party was a very muddy encounter.

[ROY] And then we started into a routine, and I look back on it now and I’m thinkin’ the wives must have cursed us [laughs]. Every time a house got finished, we’d have a party [laughs]
[JANET – off Camera] [laughs] With just the builders, just the men.
[ROY] Yeah, yeah.
[JANET – off Camera] And the ladies were all at home with their children, yup.
[ROY] There was one time when we were up, I think it was Deurden’s house.
[JANET – off Camera] Yes?
[ROY] And we finally decided it was finished, so we had a party, and George Robb left the party to go to work, and ten minutes later he came back in and he’s soaking wet and covered in mud…and “George, what happened?” he’d walked right into one of the holes
[laughs].
[JANET – off Camera] Oh, my goodness, oh a hole for one of the houses [laughs]
[ROY] Well there were no lights eh?
