The Hill family

Derwyn joined the co-op while working as a plasterer in the family business (The Hill Brothers). In 1963 he was ordained after completing courses at Knox College, so the family moved to Sudbury and then back to Hamilton at the end of Derwyn’s career. He returned to Grimsby for the 25th anniversary celebration and led the benediction at the burning of the mortgages.
