Run by Théodule Hamelin, Jardin des Alliés was by far the most sought-after address in Grondines in the early 20th century.
The hotel welcomed many tourists and hosted many weddings. The opening of Route 2, now Route 138, was a major blow to the establishment, as travelers would have to pass downhill from the hotel.
Now a private residence, the hotel burned down in February 1985. It was located at 280 chemin Sir-Lomer-Gouin.
