At the age of 13, Pierre Trottier, along with his father Donat and hunting partner Émile Sauvageau, discovered a heritage more than a century old: waterfowl hunting. He soon realized that protecting wetlands was essential to the well-being and preservation of this heritage. His love of hunting is such that he hasn’t missed a single waterfowl hunting season ever since.
In 1987, Pierre Trottier was one of the founding members of the Ducks Unlimited committee in Portneuf. This committee ceased operations in 2020.
