Thérèse Sauvageau’s right hand is seen placing the sketch of a man on a painting with a green background.
[Thérèse Sauvageau] – Here… he’s holding his horse by the bridle.
We see Thérèse Sauvageau’s right hand move the sketch of a horse onto the green background.
– My horse, good, here it is.
Thérèse Sauvageau’s right hand is seen moving several sketches on the green background.
– Then, there, you see, I have this one. So, it’s been chipped a little bit to make this.
A bed littered with sketches is showed.
– There, I see that there’s a space here for a horse and a carriage. Here, I’ll redo it.
Thérèse Sauvageau stands in the room, at the foot of the bed, in front of her green canvas in progress.
– And it takes me a long time, I’m not in a hurry, I think, I live with my characters. Because I’ve heard so much about it from my father, who worked and my grandfather… and Pépère Charles. Pépère Charles was my father’s brother, but he was 20 years older. And he talked a lot. I learned a lot from him. And that’s how it turned out.
