Isidore Arcand grocery store, Grondines, 1954

From his newly renovated grocery store, Isidore watches over his daughters Roseline and Viviane, who seem to be waiting patiently for their father’s customers.
Like all small-scale grocers of the time, Isidore worked long hours to open his store and offer a variety of products, from Catelli pasta to Viau cookies, from Aylmer soup canes to exotic bananas, not forgetting the head cheese cooked with love by his wife.
The grocery and butcher store was located at 545 chemin Sir-Lomer-Gouin.
