La Petite vache restaurant, with its dining room, cafeteria-style counter and dairy counter, served meals from 1955 to 1968. Every day, to attract customers, Daniel Thibault, the margarine magnate, had the restaurant advertised at 11:30 a.m. on the radio. The advertisement could be heard for up to 50 miles around, ensuring a packed dining room at lunchtime.
Following the restaurant’s closure, the building was converted into a six-unit apartment block.
