When the number of children was large enough, a schoolhouse was built at the expense of the district. What’s more, “each school district in rural parishes had its cross erected near the rang school” (Thérèse Sauvageau, 1992).
The Frappe-Sacre roadside cross still stands in front of 82 Chemin du Roy in Grondines. The school, meanwhile, has been converted into a home and is located at 61 Chemin du Roy.
