Technical survey map of Grondines, 1950

This technical survey map of Grondines, issued by the General Census Bureau, identifies the various village hubs and clusters found in the parish. Although the faubourg is not clearly identified on this map, the cluster of houses near the Rivière du Moulin makes it easy to locate.
The map also shows that a few farm buildings remained in “Village St-Joseph” at this time, as well as in the 4th Line.
More surprisingly, the mention of Morency refers to the eastern sector of Grand 2, Grondines’ eastern 2nd Line, where there was a post office run by Arthur Morency from 1926 to 1932.
