Kim Tuckett: When we were little, we used to come up for the summer, so as soon as school got out – I’m the eldest of five kids – and, uh, as soon as school got out we would all get in the car and come to the…lodge, and, uh,

KT: stay until the last week in August which we went home, did some back to school shopping, came back up again, and then went home again on Labour Day for school. My sisters, they always remember to this day actually, as soon as we saw the lake, we would, you know, “Oh! I saw it first! I saw it first!” You know, everybody had to be the first to see the lake…You know…We had these big wagon wheels that were, uh, painted white – and the rocks by the gate were painted white, and whoever spotted the wagon wheels first

KT: – that was also another contest. And then we’d all argue who was gonna get out and open the gate [laughter]. We were finally there, and I’m sure we drove our parents nuts with saying “Are we there yet?” a million times but, uh…It was always a fun trip up, that’s for sure. And we’d stop in Manilla, and I do remember we did stop in Argyle a few times and, uh, I remember Argyle having those old gas pumps and whatnot and, uh,

KT: yeah, uh, but when we were little, we were lucky enough where we didn’t…two trips! [laughter] And that was it, so yeah.
