Are There Rooms Available? Kirkfield Lodge Hotel Register, Pg. 112
Paul Zaborowski Collection
Date: 1936
The Kirkfield Lodge was originally built to accommodate guests visiting Sir William and Lady Mackenzie at their palatial estate on the north side of Highway 46 in Kirkfield. After the Kirkfield Inn was destroyed by fire in 1925, the Kirkfield Lodge became the village’s primary place of accommodation. Guests staying at the Lodge in 1936 sometimes had young children in tow, as a few entries in this register indicate.
