Changing Times: Demolition of a Gas Station, Coboconk
Paul Zaborowski Collection
Date: ca. 2014
At one time, Coboconk was home to half a dozen gas stations. Due to changes in technology and consolidation among oil companies from the 1970s onward, that number dwindled to the point at which the village had almost no place for the motoring public to purchase gas. This particular gas station was demolished around 2014. Today, travellers are served by a single Shell station on the same site.
