Coboconk’s Famous Pattie House
Paul Zaborowski Collection
Date: ca. 1930s
The Pattie House had been a fixture in downtown Coboconk for about half a century by the time this photograph was taken during the Great Depression. Apart from accommodating travellers headed north or south along the Cameron Road (later Highway 35 North), it was a well-known drinking establishment. Today it operates as The Pattie House Smokin’ BBQ [barbecue] restaurant.
