Tourists Enjoy Branson’s Gallery in Rosedale
Paul Zaborowski Collection
Date: ca. 1975
In 1952, the Lindsay Daily Post ran an editorial which urged every town or hamlet in the municipality to open a small museum or other roadside tourist attraction. Some were more successful than others. By the 1970s, Branson’s Gallery was welcoming tourists making their way north or south along Highway 35 in the village of Rosedale. Ironically, this quaint stone building had welcomed tourists decades before when it served as J.B. Oliver’s service station.
