Frank Sleeper

Frank Sleeper was born to a family of builders in Coaticook on November 26th, 1862. He was the nephew of industrialist Lewis Sleeper, and the son of mechanical inventor Wright Sleeper, both of Coaticook. After attending Coaticook Academy, he became an inventor at a young age, despite losing an eye after an accident when he was only 19.
Frank Sleeper married Lilla Anne Hopkinson in 1883 in Coaticook. They had three girls : (L-R) Verna Lilla Sleeper, Lotta Frances Sleeper and Ethel May Sleeper. His business was located in Worcester, and Frank Sleeper divided his time between homes in St-Petersburg, Florida, and on Lake Massawippi in the Eastern Townships. He died in Florida in 1937.
