Time Capsule Container

Year: 2014

The huge steel box contains a large number of objects. Once sealed, it was buried underground. The capsule will be opened in 2114, by which time its contents will have important historical value. It’s a way to travel through time, and communicate with the great-grandchildren of the town’s current residents.
The capsule was buried in a ceremony held at Chartier Park in Coaticook on September 22nd, 2014. A bronze plaque was placed on top of a granite monument to mark the spot, and remind people of the treasure buried beneath.
