Albert Baker was 24 years old when he enlisted. He served in France without being wounded from September 1915 until November 1918. During that time, he sent these cards to his sister, Annie Baker, who was living in their hometown of Wellington, British Columbia. They were embroidered with French and Belgian women for sale to soldiers.
