Piece of Propeller

A prepared and finished piece of propeller made into an engraved plaque. There is a green maple leaf on it with a crown and the word “Canada” in the middle.

Using a Lewis Gun, on March 28, 1918, near Méricourt, France, 2nd Company of the Princess Patricia’s Canadian Light Infantry (PPCLI) shot down a German plane. The wooden propeller was cut into pieces and then carved to commemorate the event.
