The first annual fair was held in 1901 and the first Corn Festival, which included the crowning of the first Agassiz Corn Royalty, was held in September 1949. In 1952 the Agassiz Fall Fair and the Agassiz Corn Festival were combined into one event. The fair/festival is organized by the Agassiz Agricultural and Horticultural Association each year, and is a true homecoming event for family and friends.
