A view of the businesses along Pioneer Avenue, looking east, during the 1948 Fraser River flood. Notice the hydro poles in front of the businesses and the height of the water up the poles. One of Agassiz’s businesses, the Agassiz Builders Supply, burned down as a result of the flood.
