In the 1980s and 1990s, the Auditorium hosted the Old Timers, a hockey team of former players from the National Hockey League. They played against amateur teams to raise money for various charitable organizations. In this photo, the Old Timers, including the famous hockey player Guy Lafleur, faced off against a team made of members of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police. Who refereed that match? None other than the legendary Maurice “Rocket” Richard. A large crowd of spectators turned out.
