Hollywood lands in Verdun

In 2001, for a rare occasion, an American production used the arena as a film set for The Reagans. The production’s location search team liked the location for its special style and its space. The building was then transformed into an American Republican Party Convention for presidency candidate Ronald Reagan, in the 1980s. It hosted actor James Brolin, who played that future President of the United States. This filming took a number of days to prepare and shoot at the Auditorium. In the end, due to certain controversies and criticisms, the 180-minute movie was released as a televised series in 2003
