On September 19, 2015, the Verdun Auditorium majestically celebrated its 75 years of existence : the entire population of Verdun was invited to this festive event, which provided and opportunity for young and old alike to discover the history of the building and the various events that were held in it.
Filled with emotion, hockey player Conrad “Connie” Poitras recounted his years on the Verdun Terriers junior team in 1943-1944. In the evening, over 1,000 people relived the musical trend of the 1990, thanks to a show starring singers Lulu Hugues, Fred Lebel, Polo and Rémi Chassé. Under the musical direction of the Porn Flakes, the performers revived Bob Dylan, Nirvana, Pearl Jam and other mythical rock groups who had presented a show at this important venue of the Montréal music scene.
