During the 17 years of La Butte, Gilles Mathieu never stopped adding extensions, as well as separate houses, while doing the landscaping and decorating the interiors. Starting with a simple workshop, he managed to build an impressive complex, a village within the village of Val-David, dedicated to music, arts and crafts.
