Transcription:
The decision to hire Mr. Victorien Simard for one year was made. He will farm our Rang Saint-Joseph lands under the following conditions: He will be paid $50.00 per month. We will provide lodgings for him.
He has our permission to make a garden adjacent to his house, and to make his own firewood for the winter, but the wood must not come from our property. He will be allowed to use the old wood already stored on the farm for heating.
He will defer the cost of his own chickens if he chooses to keep some. As for the requirements for our house, we shall need milk by 7:30 a.m. and 6:30 p.m. daily.
One of the convent employees shall come to the farm at the time ascribed by the farmer to help with milking duties.
Of course, Mr. Simard shall always be available for any farm work requested by Mother Bursar, under whose orders he will be working.
