A new convent was built higher up, on a rocky cape called Cap-à-la-baleine – the Sisters’ new monastery. They cleared the land themselves prior to construction, as well as space for another garden. As time went by, the garden grew and soon became proliferous.
The Sisters worked tirelessly to shape their surroundings. The slash of shovels was often accompanied by the sound of laughter.
