Eel Trap Owned by Réal Lauzier in Kamouraska

A huge rectangular trap with a wooden frame and covered with wire mesh is towed along the shore of the river on a tractor-drawn trailer.

Réal Lauzier’s fishery was located in the Les Pèlerins Islands opposite Kamouraska. He could reach his fishing gear by tractor at low tide. The multi-chambered trap shown here was one of the few of its type used east of Berthier-sur-Mer.
