Eel Trap Owned by the Labrecque Family in Saint-Michel-de-Bellechasse

The Labrecque family’s eel weir had three traps, two of which were anchored in place and ended in a holding chamber. The trap shown in this photograph was the one located furthest from shore. The back of an enormous beached sturgeon can be seen in front of the trap.
